He attended the studies of Marino Mazzacurati and Roberto Melli, in Stockholm he is a designer in the studio of the architect Tham.
\nHe collaborates with Mario Marenco from a very young age, a collaboration that will lead him to design decorations for the Banca Lanspar in Stockholm, for I.C.E, for the Italian pavilions of Agriculture in Algiers, for Food in Cologne and for Lancia in Bologna. He has collaborated with the Swedish weekly Fib and Svenska, for Rai, creating sets for Renzo Arbore’s programs on Rai-Uno.
\nHe designed furniture for Mi\u00f9, Uving, Cyrus, Company, Le Favero, Linea Uno and Matteo Grassi.
\nFor a long period he moved to Saudi Arabia to decorate the interiors of private residences and hotels in Jeddah.
\nHe exhibited his works in Bologna, Lugano, Stockholm, Rome, New York, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, participated in the “Oro d’Autore” exhibition of 1988 and 1992, confirming the extraordinary bond he has with the city of Arezzo, its always creative refuge.

Anna Roncoroni presents Franco Onali<\/h2>\n

Story of a love made of magical coincidences and molecular combinations, born between wounds and gauze. A different story, I was lucky, in these long years of coexistence, spent between the monastic cell of Via Dei Coronari where we currently live, and the huge green spaces of the Tuscan Emilian Apennines, to observe the birth of his works day after day! A long journey from the 1950s to today, which has gone through many stages. I didn’t know him then, but through the canvases, I lived his deep memories. With images he continually recreates his story, and he continues to face the same problem a hundred thousand times, varying the approach. He is agile in moving from one theme to another, and does not care if a painting seems apparently unfinished. The continuous research, gives power to his art, and his pictures-frames, with colors with tonal relationships, arise from his ideas-thoughts. He can be charming or unfriendly depending on his mood, but remains unyieldingly faithful to a single passion: freedom. Franco Onali (Roma 1932) , ha studiato pittura all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e Firenze, con Cipriano Oppo, Marcello Avenali, Ugo Capocchini e Mario Mafai. Ha frequentato gli studi di Marino Mazzacurati e di Roberto Melli, a Stoccolma \u00e8 designer nello studio dell'architetto Tham.
Collabora con Mario Marenco fin da giovanissimo, collaborazione che lo porter\u00e0 a progettare decorazioni per la Banca Lanspar di Stoccolma, per I.C.E, per i padiglioni Italiani dell'Agricoltura di Algeri, per L'Alimentazione a Colonia e per la Lancia a Bologna. Ha collaborato con i settimanali svedesi Fib e Svenska, per la Rai realizzando scenografie per programmi di Renzo Arbore a Rai-Uno.
Ha disegnato mobili per le ditte Mi\u00f9, Uving, Cyrus, Company, Le Favero, Linea Uno e Matteo Grassi.
Per un lungo periodo si trasferisce in Arabia Saudita per decorare gli interni di residenze private e alberghi a Jeddah.
Ha esposto i suoi lavori a Bologna, Lugano, Stoccolma, Roma, New York, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, ha partecipato alla mostra \" Oro d'Autore\" del 1988 e del 1992, confermando lo straordinario legame che ha con la citt\u00e0 di Arezzo, suo rifugio creativo da sempre.

Anna Roncoroni presenta Franco Onali<\/h2>

Racconto di un amore fatto di coincidenze magiche e combinazioni molecolari, nato tra ferite e garze. Una storia diversa, sono stata fortunata, in questi lunghi anni di convivenza, passati fra la cella monastica di Via Dei Coronari dove attualmente viviamo, e gli enormi spazi verdi dell'Appennino tosco emiliano, ad osservare giorno dopo giorno la nascita delle sue opere! Un lungo percorso dagli anni 50' ad oggi, che ha attraversato molte fasi. Allora non lo conoscevo, ma attraverso le tele, ho vissuto le sue memorie profonde. Con le immagini ricrea continuamente la sua storia, ed \u00e8 continuo nell'affrontare per centomila volte lo stesso problema, variando l'approccio. E' agile nel passare da un tema ad un altro, e non si preoccupa se un quadro sembra apparentemente non finito. La continua ricerca, da potenza alla sua arte, e i suoi quadri-fotogrammi, con i colori dai rapporti tonali, scaturiscono dalle sue idee-pensieri. Sa essere affascinante o scostante a seconda dell'umore, ma resta inflessibilmente fedele ad un unica passione: la libert\u00e0. Nonostante l'avanzare degli anni, la vitalit\u00e0 e il movimento non cessano di crescere, donandoci valori du pura creativit\u00e0 e poesia, manifestando cos\u00ec la sua ebbrezza psichica.<\/p>
