Franco Onali (Rome 1932) is one of the greatest Italian artists of the twentieth century, his painting ranges from figurative to abstract, inspired but not influenced by the most important artistic movements. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and Florence, with Cipriano Oppo, Marcello Avenali, Ugo Capocchini and Mario Mafai.
He collaborates with Mario Marenco from a very young age, a collaboration that will lead him to design decorations for the Lanspar Bank in Stockholm, for I.C.E, for the Italian Agriculture pavilions of Algiers, for Food in Cologne and for Lancia in Bologna.
He has collaborated with the Swedish weekly Fib and Svenska, for Rai, creating sets for Renzo Arbore\u2019s programs on Rai1.<\/p>\n

For a long period he moved to Saudi Arabia to decorate the interiors of private residences and hotels in Jeddah.
\nHe exhibited his works in Bologna, Lugano, Stockholm, Rome, New York, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, participated in the “Oro d’Autore” exhibition of 1988 and 1992, confirming the extraordinary bond he has with the city of Arezzo, its always creative refuge.

Ha frequentato gli studi di Marino Mazzacurati e di Roberto Melli<\/strong>, a Stoccolma \u00e8 designer nello studio dell'architetto Tham<\/strong>.
